Common Questions
Everything you need to know about our guided nature walks through Pape reserve and coastal dune trails
Our coastal dune trails are designed specifically for seniors and those at various fitness levels. We offer 3 to 5 km routes with regular rest stops and adjustable pacing—you set the speed. Our guides are trained to work with mobility needs and will suggest the best trail for your comfort level.
Early morning (6–9 AM) offers the best chances, especially during spring and early autumn when horses are more active. We'll share exact locations with you when you book, and our guides know the herd patterns well. Even if we don't spot them, the Pape reserve landscapes are spectacular year-round.
Comfortable walking shoes are fine for our trails—we're not tackling steep terrain. We recommend sturdy footwear with good grip for sandy and occasionally wet paths. Check the weather forecast for your walk date and dress in layers.
We keep groups between 6 and 12 people to ensure everyone gets personalized attention and we don't disturb wildlife. This size lets us move at a comfortable pace and actually hear our guide's ecological insights without too much chatter.
Absolutely. Many of our guests use walking sticks and find them helpful on sandy terrain. Some trails are more suitable for different mobility levels, so we'll recommend the right one when you contact us. Please mention any specific needs when booking so we can prepare.
We reschedule walks if there's heavy rain, strong wind, or lightning. You'll get 48 hours' notice, and we'll find a new date that works for you. Light drizzle doesn't stop us—we're prepared with ponchos and the walks are actually magical in mist.
